Privacy Policy

MobilenSoft ("we," "our," or "us") built Echofy Music ("the App") as a music player application for iOS. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.

By using Echofy Music, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

Echofy Music stores the following data locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to our servers:

• Music metadata — song titles, artists, albums, genres, composers, track numbers, duration, artwork, and lyrics.
• Playback data — play counts, ratings, favorites, last played timestamps, and playback position.
• App preferences — equalizer settings, theme choices, playback speed, crossfade, shuffle and repeat modes, and other user settings.
• Playlist data — playlist names, descriptions, artwork, and song order.

Apple Music Library

With your permission, the App accesses your Apple Music library to import songs into Echofy Music. We only read music file data and metadata; we do not modify your Apple Music library.

Advertising Identifier

With your consent (via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt), the App may collect your Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) to serve personalized advertisements. You can deny this request, and the App will serve non-personalized ads instead.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

• Provide core music playback and library management features.
• Save your preferences and playback history for a personalized experience.
• Display advertisements through Google AdMob.
• Fetch lyrics from third-party lyrics services when requested.
• Enable music discovery and streaming through the Audius platform.
• Back up your app data to iCloud when you enable this feature.

3. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services. Each service has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data:

Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device information and, with your consent, your advertising identifier to serve personalized ads. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

Audius

The App allows you to search, browse, and stream music from the Audius decentralized music platform. When you use Audius features, search queries and streaming requests are sent to Audius servers. If you optionally provide your Audius user ID to fetch favorites, that ID is stored locally on your device. See Audius Privacy Policy.

LrcLib

When you request synchronized lyrics, the App sends the song title, artist name, album name, and track duration to LrcLib to retrieve matching lyrics.

AZLyrics

When synchronized lyrics are unavailable, the App may retrieve plain-text lyrics from AZLyrics using the song title and artist name.

4. Data Storage and iCloud

All your music files, metadata, and preferences are stored locally on your device using on-device databases and storage.

If you choose to enable iCloud backup within the App, the following data is stored in your personal iCloud account:

• Playlists and playlist configurations
• Song ratings and play counts
• Equalizer presets
• App settings

Audio files are not included in iCloud backups. iCloud data is protected by Apple's security and encryption standards and is tied to your Apple ID.

5. WiFi Transfer

The App includes a WiFi Transfer feature that lets you transfer music files from other devices over your local network. This feature operates entirely on your local WiFi network and does not transmit data over the internet.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties except as described below:

• Advertising partners — If you consent to ad tracking, your advertising identifier may be shared with Google AdMob for personalized ad delivery.
• Lyrics providers — Song metadata (title, artist, album) is sent to lyrics services when you request lyrics.
• Audius — Search queries and your Audius user ID (if provided) are sent to Audius servers to retrieve music content.

We do not operate our own servers and do not collect or store any of your data remotely.

7. Children's Privacy

Echofy Music is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email address below, and we will take steps to remove that information.

8. Your Rights

All Users

You can control your data at any time by:

• Denying or revoking the App Tracking Transparency permission in iOS Settings.
• Revoking Apple Music library access in iOS Settings.
• Deleting songs, playlists, and backups directly within the App.
• Deleting iCloud backup data through your iCloud settings.
• Uninstalling the App, which removes all locally stored data.

European Economic Area (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, as well as the right to restrict or object to certain processing. California (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, request its deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. For any requests, contact us at info@mobilensoft.com.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is stored locally on your device for as long as the App is installed. When you delete individual songs, playlists, or backups within the App, that data is permanently removed. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.

iCloud backups persist in your iCloud account until you manually delete them or remove the App's iCloud data through your device settings.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. All data is stored locally on your device using iOS security frameworks. iCloud data is protected by Apple's encryption standards. However, no method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
